Fund an Event
Use the following instructions to set up event types that are not free use.
Make sure the following criteria are met:
- If access to the service is not granted through the membership plan, the member must purchase the service.
- The catalog service item must be created and associated with an event type.
- The catalog service item must match the event type name exactly in order to allow "drop in" and time of enrollment payments for members who do not already have funding.
Unlimited or metered service deductions are allowed.
Membership types can control unlimited access by applying the same catalog service items that are mapped to the event types.
- Create a service catalog item by navigating to Settings>Inventory>Catalog Items>Create.
- Give the new service item the exact name as the event type it will be funding.
- After setting the other options for the item, click Save.
- Create the event type by navigating to Settings>Schedule Setup>Configuration>Create.
- Give the event type the exact name as the service item created in steps 1-3.
- Select Classes Only as the Event Type.
- Set the other options on this page and click Next.
- On the Services page, use the Add button to search for and select the service item created in steps 1-3.
- Click Save. You have now associated the service item required to fund access to this event type.
Optional - continue to step 9 if you want to apply the service item created in steps 1-3 to all membership that allow member access the event types that require funding. - Navigate to Settings>Members Setup>Membership Type.
- Select each membership type that includes event access.
- Click Add in the Membership Type Services section.
- Move the service from the Available list to the Selected list and click OK.
- Click Save.
After creating the first service item for event funding (steps 1-3), you can open this item and click Copy to create service items for additional event types.
