About this Release
In this release, we added the Delete member (client) type for Product End Automation to allow former members to rejoin the mobile app without manual intervention. The default import behavior for when a member is deactivated in Membership & Operations (M&O) will be set to Delete. We also updated the end automation for a Prospect membership type to default to the Basic member (client) type.
Read on for information about the features included in this release.
New Member Type: Delete
We enhanced the web app to include the Delete member (client) type for Product End Automation and as the Default Member Type when a member is deactivated in Membership & Operations (M&O).
By implementing these changes, if a former member rejoins your club, you will no longer have to manually delete them to allow them to rejoin the mobile app. These enhancements are described below.
Product End Automation
We added the Delete option to the Set client type drop-down under Product End Automation. When a member terminates their membership at your club, they are set to delete automatically.
An example of the Delete member (client) type option is shown below.
Default Import Behavior
With this release, the default import behavior when a member is deactivated in M&O is now set to Delete. This setting cannot be changed; the accompanying tool tip provides the following information: When a member terminates their membership at your club, the membership type is set to delete automatically so that if a member rejoins your club, you will no longer have to manually delete them to rejoin the mobile app.
If you choose a different member (client) type for end automation (see Product End Automation above), those individual membership type settings will supersede the default Delete setting shown below.
The following is an example of the Delete setting when a member is deactivated in M&O.
Prospect Membership Type End Automation
We updated end automation for the Prospect membership type to default to the Basic member (client) type. This change will ensure that prospects can easily convert to full members once their trial ends. (For example, a client type of Offline or Delete would prevent the prospect from converting to a member in the app.)
The following is an example of the Basic member (client) type setting for Prospect end automation.
