About the Puerto Rico IVU Loto

The Puerto Rico IVU Loto program provides lottery numbers and drawing dates which are then printed on sales receipts. As a result, customers are automatically entered into twice weekly drawings for prizes ranging from $1,000 to $25,000.

We have updated DataTrak to integrate with the IVU Loto Web service to provide the required information for the IVU Loto, and then print the lottery number and other relevant control information on the customer's POS receipt.

Requirements

To have the IVU Loto information printed on your sales receipts, you must have a unique Merchant ID for the IVU Loto. In addition, each terminal within a particular location must have a unique POS Terminal ID.

ABC will enter the POS Terminal IDs and passwords into our system. You can then select the appropriate IVU Loto Terminal ID in DataTrak as part of the workstation settings.

Also, in order to ensure that the tax rate amounts are sent to the Puerto Rico IVU Loto, the Municipal tax rate must have its Tax Rate Type set to City. For the State tax rate, the Tax Rate Type must be set to State. (For more information, see Tax Rates.)

Exceptions

Please note the following exceptions to this enhancement:

  • Any automatically created transactions are not included in this enhancement:
  • Recurring Service auto payments
  • MYiCLUBonline Shop
  • Kiosk payments
  • Chargebacks and reposts are not included as these transactions occur outside of Point of Sale and, therefore, are not subject to the requirements of the IVU Loto.
  • Unapplied Club Account payments will not generate an IVU Loto number since these transactions do not produce a receipt.
  • This release does not include any changes to DataTrak Reports.
