Report Formats

Most CRS Reports include the option to choose one of a variety of output file types.

If you run your reports in PDF or Excel format, we recommend adjusting your browser settings for best performance. (For more information, see Browser Settings for Drill-Down Links.)

The output file types are described in the following table.

File Type Description When to Use Details
Browser Ordinary web page To read information quickly. Works well on desktops, tablets, and other mobile devices.
Active Report An enhanced web page with collaboration and analysis To sort and filter data. Works well on desktop, tablets, and other mobile devices.
PDF Adobe PDF file To print a report that most closely matches what you see on-screen. Requires that a PDF reader be available on your computer or device.
PDF readers are free. One example is Adobe Reader.

Comma Delimited Text file To have report data in a format to import elsewhere. A text file with commas between each field for a record.
