Hardware Services

The existing Hardware Services configuration’s club number will remain at 4 digits. This will reduce the complexity in the number of pre-deployments needed to eventually land at 5 digits within Hardware Services.

Any new Hardware Services configuration’s club number can be 4 or 5 digits. The Hardware Services API call will be updated to accept a request with a club number length of 4 or 5 digits, and then send a response with the length sent in the request.

If at some point Hardware Services leverages the club number from the response, this will maintain consistency with the club number in the Hardware Services configuration file.

Currently, Hardware Services does not leverage the club number from the response. The Verifone registration process may leverage the Hardware Services configuration’s club number in a request to a DataTrak endpoint. This is still being investigated.
